Although we generally do a great job of maintaining our cemetery and the individual lots within it, we occasionally miss something because of the sheer size of the park. If you see something that needs to be addressed, simply fill out our Contact Form and select “Lot Maintenance,” or call our office at 757-565-2006. Be sure to include your lot number (if known) and contact information.
Do you have any plans for expansion?
Yes. We have a 20-year expansion plan that ensures we can meet the needs of our growing community. In the summer of 2024, we began construction on two New Columbaria positioned at the left and right of our community mausoleum. Our new solid granite Columbaria will feature 144 cremation niches and hold up to 288 cremains. Starting at just $2,995, it’s the perfect choice for couples and individuals, offering a premium location at an amazingly affordable price.
In 2018, we opened Cambridge Gardens, which offers more than 1,000 traditional burial sites and 2,500 cremation niches. It also includes an obelisk ossuary inspired by the Washington Monument, which will accommodate an additional 800 cremation burials and 20 private niches. With easier accessibility, upgraded landscaping, and a unique design, Cambridge Gardens will likely become one of our most popular sections.
At this time, more than two-thirds of our cemetery grounds remain undeveloped.
Do you speak at group meetings?
Yes. Our Family Service Counselors are always happy to speak to your group members. We routinely meet with various community groups, including seniors, hospices, religious groups, veterans, civic groups, and more. Our presentation usually includes a tabletop display, a slide show, and various handouts. There is no charge for this service. To find out more, contact us today.
Can I transfer property from another cemetery to Williamsburg Memorial Park?
Possibly. We are members of the ICCFA Credit Exchange Plan, but not all cemeteries are. There are some limitations, but basically, you‘ll get a dollar-for-dollar credit for the property you purchased at another participating cemetery.
The ICCFA Exchange Program also applies to the mausoleum and estate properties. The transfer allowance for these types of properties is generally higher than traditional burial properties. For more information, please contact us.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. However, substantial insurance verification must be done before a property, service, or merchandise is rendered to a family when a death has occurred. Often, this limits the timeliness of the service we can offer, especially on weekends.
A better alternative is to consider a Pre-Planning option using a life insurance policy assignment. Many insurance companies allow this. Please contact us or your life insurance representative for more information.
