Update: 12.15.24 @ 4:50 PM
Although the Cub Scouts and their families did an awesome job of placing this year’s luminaries, several caught fire immediately after lighting them due to high wind gusts—which continued throughout the evening. Sadly, we had to cancel the Annual Holiday Luminary for safety reasons. Unfortunately, there are no plans to reschedule this event.
We are so very sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be more cooperative next year. We hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.
Light Up Your Holidays!
Join us on Sunday, December 15, from 5-8 p.m. as we celebrate the holidays and honor all those who are no longer with us. This is a FREE, family-friendly event that’s viewed from the safety and comfort of your own car. For directions, please click here.
About Our Display
Our Annual Holiday Luminary consists of 2,000 luminaries that border both sides of our main road, which is approximately 1 mile long.
Our Volunteers
Several hours before this event, Cub Scouts Troop 414 members and their scout leaders (shown below) will carefully place and light the luminaries.
Navigating the Display
When you enter the park, you’ll notice a series of lit signs to the right of our main driveway. Follow the instructions printed on these signs to begin your tour. Because headlights tend to overwhelm our display, you’ll be asked to dim yours at a certain point. Doing this will make the luminary more enjoyable for everyone who attends. This would also be an excellent time to turn on your favorite holiday music.
As you continue the tour, please drive slowly and follow the instructions printed on the signs. For your safety, we ask that you remain in your car at all times. Stopping your car or pulling off the main roadway is not permitted as it may damage the display or start a fire. Please note that our Customer Care Center and restrooms will not be open to the public during this event. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call us at 757.565.2006.
