Tim Dice is one of our Family Service Counselors and a native of the South Bay area of Los Angeles, California. He’s also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. In 1971, Tim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Chapman University and began a successful 17-year career in the electronics industry.
But Tim’s true calling is helping others—especially those who are less fortunate. So, in 1988, Tim moved his family to Dallas, Texas, where he attended the Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University and earned his Master of Divinity degree. Four years later, he was ordained.
In 1994, Tim received a call to ministry at a small church in West Point, Virginia, and moved his family there. Several years later, he began his career in the cemetery business. Over the past 27 years, Tim has worked as a counselor, a director, and a trainer at several area cemeteries. This has given him a tremendous amount of perspective into the industry, which has helped us improve the products and services we offer.
Although I have worked at several cemeteries, none of them can match the variety of products we offer and the expertise of our staff. I am truly honored to be part of this great team.
Tim was also the inspiration behind our Annual 1K Run, which benefits at-risk children. In 2019, this highly successful program raised over $1,000 in cash and food donations for the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank’s BackPack Program. When Tim isn’t helping his customers, he serves as minister of the Westville Christian Church in Mathews, Virginia.
Where Tim finds the time to do all of this is beyond us, but there is one thing we do know—his clients and his congregation truly appreciate his dedication. —WMP
